Author Guidelines for IERA, Islamic Education and Research Academy

  1. Manuscript Content

    • The manuscript must be the result of original research or a literature review, written in English. It should not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere. The manuscript should reflect originality and novelty in the field of Islamic education.
  2. Length and Format

    • The manuscript should consist of a minimum of 3000 words and a maximum of 4000 words.
    • The text should be written in standard English on A4-sized paper.
    • The manuscript should be typed in a single-column format.
    • The line spacing should be set to 1.15 (one point fifteen) throughout the manuscript.
  3. Margins

    • Set the page format to Multiple Pages with Mirror Margins: Top 2 cm, Bottom 2 cm, Inside 3 cm, Outside 2 cm.
  4. Typography

    • Use Cambria font size 12 for the main text of the manuscript, including all headings and subheadings.
    • The abstract should be typed in Cambria 11 Italic for the English version, and Cambria 11 for the Indonesian version.
    • Foreign words should be italicized in the manuscript using Cambria font.
  5. Figures and Tables

    • Figures should be numbered, with the title placed below the figure, and a spacing of 1 (one) line, all in Cambria font.
    • Tables should be numbered, with the title placed above the table, and a spacing of 1 (one) line, all in Cambria font.
    • Ensure that tables and figures are clear and well-labeled, following the formatting guidelines provided in the IERA template.
  6. Abstract and Keywords

    • The manuscript must include an abstract and keywords in both English and Indonesian.
    • The English abstract should be typed in Cambria 11 Italic with a length of 100-200 words, providing a general description of the content, including the background, objectives, methods, results, analysis, and conclusions.
    • The Indonesian abstract should also be 100-200 words and written in Cambria 11.
    • Keywords should consist of 2 to 4 representative words or phrases relevant to the article, typed in Cambria font.
  7. Title and Author Information

    • The title of the manuscript should be brief and informative, typed in Cambria 16 Bold, and aligned to the left.
    • The author's full name should be written without academic titles, using Cambria 12 Bold. The affiliation should be stated in Cambria 12.
    • Include the correspondence address and email of the author(s) directly below the affiliation, all in Cambria font.
  8. References

    • A minimum of 20 references should be included, with at least 5 references dated within the last 5 years, unless the discussion pertains to older foundational works.
    • Authors should use the APA citation style, and it is highly recommended to use reference management software like Zotero or Mendeley.
    • All references should be formatted in Cambria font.
  9. Submission

    • Manuscripts must be submitted through the OJS platform, with a maximum file size of 2MB.
    • Authors are required to download and use the IERA template as a reference for formatting their manuscript for publication.
  10. Editorial Policy

    • The content of the manuscript is the sole responsibility of the author(s). However, the editor reserves the right to make necessary changes and correct the grammar and formatting of the manuscript before publication.

These guidelines are designed to ensure that all submissions to IERA, Islamic Education and Research Academy meet the journal's standards for clarity, consistency, and academic rigor. All text throughout the manuscript should be formatted using Cambria font.
