Abstract

The main problem of this study is how the concept of education Naquib al Attas with regard to meaning and educational goals, foundations, curricula and methods of education, authority and teacher roles. From some of these problems, this paper aims to know the thinking of Muhammad Naquib al-Attas education in the context of Contemporary Islamic Education. The main sources in this paper are the works of al-Attas, especially those discussing about education.
