AB - The purpose of this research is to observe the contribution of problem based teaching materials to studentsâ€™s mathematical problem solving ability. Then to know studentsâ€™s self-regulated learning whose using problem based teaching materials. The population of this research is VIII grade students of SMPN 9 Tasikmalaya. This research used random sampling technique , and VIIIA was selected as experimental class and VIIIC as control class. The analisys technique used to test the hypothesis are t-test analysis and response scale. Based on the result of analysis, processing and hypothesis testing show there is a contribution of problem based teaching materials to the mathematical problem solving ability of students, and self regulated learning of students that using problem based teaching materials include medium category.
